So exactly the same error msg.īut i can see msdasql in my linked server list but i can't query this one SELECT * FROM OPENROWSET('MSDASQL', 'Driver=Microsoft Visual FoxPro Driver.
When I then do: SELECT * FROM OPENQuery(GerLink,'SELECT * FROM gres') I get the following error msg: An error occurred while preparing a query for execution against OLE DB provider 'MSDASQL'. When I check enterprise manager the linked server is there, and I see a list of the tables. Then I did: sp_addlinkedserver 'GerLink', ' ', 'MSDASQL', 'Ger' Which was succesful. I created an ODBC System DSN first named Ger.
